It's ok! But, I was looking for more information on how to take care of me the caregiver! I need help in dealing with anger toward caring for a spouse that is no longer the person I married! I'm feeling like I just lost my best friend and I have no one to have a relationship with! We need information for us as caregivers! Just feeling lost and lonely!

My wife is in early stages of dementia;she functions well on routine tasks - making sandwiches for lunch,making salad for dinner and coffee before going to bed. The Caregiver's Guide is exactly what I needed, especially the strategies that help me understand how to respond to her needs. The work sheets are complete and valuable to me to remember and document changes in her behavior and how to respond. The one area that bothers me is that she sleeps a lot. I wake her at 10:am and she usually gets but she wants to stay in her bathrobe most of the day. She will get dressed for dinner if I ask her to.

Excellent book. I would recommend this to anyone who is a caregiver. It is helpful in understanding dementia behaviors and suggestions in how to deal with them. I bought it earlier in paperback and just now bought it for my Kindle. Great resource.

This is a wonderful resource, especially if you have hired caregivers coming into your setting as many are not trained effectively in dementia care.
